New PV Alert: XTEEN – ROMANTICIST

Making their debut on the New PV Alerts is the “Horror Punk Idol” unit XTEEN (pronounced like “Christine”). The trio dip into the black for their visual accompaniment to “Romanticist”, their second single. Playing straight alter egos, the girls get High School looks down before appearing behind chain link fences as XTEEN proper. The music splits its time between some convincing metal verses and bro punk choruses complete with “whoa whoa whoa” refrains. The girls have a bit of fun playing teens in their makeshift high school sets; they check cell phone messages, hit the table tennis practice, and get rather emotional in a teenage angst way. Of course, the remedy for the pain is throwing on the black leather, jamming a few piercings into your soft fleshy bits, and looking menacingly from behind chains, weathered fixtures, and baseball bats. XTEEN put oodles of time into their styling and attitude, and what we get a convincing product that should intrigue more than a fair number of you into checking out the group further. “ROMANTICIST”, the second single from XTEEN, is available now at the retailers listed below.
