Tokyo Rockets, the five-member idol unit from, well, Tokyo celebrate the release of a full-length album with new song its corresponding promotional video. “SHA LA LA” espouses itself with lots of religious symbolism filming much of its run time in what appears to be the apse of a church. Tokyo Rockets sing along to a metal-esque instrumental track with emotional resonance sporting the long skirts with a black-and-white lace motif recalling your favorite Catholic School sister. You might be aware of Tokyo Rockets from their long tenure having serviced the wota community since 2013. Equally, you might know them as the sister group to Party Rockets. But, chances are, you know of member Asahi Kana from her concurrency in Last Idol’s Good Tears. Either way, this looks like a fresh start for the group, and we should cheer them on! The 1st album from Tokyo Rockets, “ANGEL NOIZ”, goes on sale July 25, 2018.
