Qumali depart turn in coupling track promotional video with their release of “Sekaikei (セカイケイ)”. The loosely collected set of images put the four girls under the night skies for much of the track. Unlike the cute smiles of the A-side “Shadaikun” (The cutest thing I’ve seen all day), Qumali Depart try out their dramatic faces around the waterways of the film’s setting. It’s on the banks where the group stages their performance shot with the glowing lights from the opposite bank reflected on the waves. “Sekaikei” gives the girls plenty of fodder for the drama: crunchy guitars and live drums put the song closer to what one might expect from a WACK release. And, Qumali Depart wear this look well, too. I hope I am seeing a surge in the group’s popularity following the release of “Shadaikun”; Qumali Depart seem like they are worth it. “Sekaikei” can be found on “Shadaikun”, the second single from Qumali Depart, now on sale.
