New PV Alert: Ohara Sakurako – Tsukiakari

[Note: This promotional video is currently blocked in North America]

The third album from Ohara Sakurako is set for release, and the girl is here to prep us with this new promotional video. “Tsukiakari” puts the singer/actress gets it done under the rainy moonlit skies waving her goodbyes to a mysterious taxi. Soon after, Sakurako ditches the umbrella for some popping dance moves. “Tsukiakari” plays funkier than expected with keyboard pads matched precisely to the syncopated beats. Still, the song is a piece of pop, and the strong melody of the chorus gives “Tsukiakari” a throwback R&B feel complete with backbeat finger snaps. Being a short version promotional video, we don’t get to see much of the second act of the video. It’s my hope that I’ll be able to see this PV to its completion eventually. Regardless, I’ll be giving “Tsukiakari” a full listen when Ohara Sakurako’s third album “Enjoy” hits the record stores on June 27, 2018.
