Finally, a promotional video from MIGMA SHELTER makes the rounds with the video clip for “Compression: Free”. The girls wear a smock of an ourfit: color-keyed yet formless and hemmed at the knees. The pouted concrete office looks haunted by MIGMA SHELTER as the girls twitch uncontrollable among the deserted office equipment eerily lit with pink lights. It’s after hours, the place is empty, let’s have ourselves a bit of fun yes? I sense a commentary on the Japanese work force as though the business of MIGMA SHELTER is a second shift force of gremlins mocking their day shift counterparts. “Compression: Free” is probably going to polarize the idol community with its primal sketches of melody scattered about a dance groove that sounds mean but not necessarily abrasive. The song seems to live somewhere between two worlds. I admit that I find something attractive about in “Compression: Free” and the way MIGMA SHELTER dances with reckless abandon. “Compression: Free” is available on MIGMA SHELTER’s “ORBIT EP”
