Starting with a lonely shot of Chittiii at a bar high top, BiSH’s “MORE THAN LiKE” takes the split screen concept much further than I’ve ever seen in an idol promotional video. The girls get their own sliver of the screen, and as you might expect from this PV genre the girls throw objects from slice to another. But then, the girls start to jump into each other’s screen maintaining continuity and sometimes even camera position. The girls look connected even though we are looking at separate scenes. By the end, BiSH reassembles in their CARROTS and STiCKS outfits for a brief dance shot; but it’s really not the focus of the PV. Meanwhile, the musical offering of “MORE THAN LiKE” plays like a more melodic version of the pop punk. The song is not as caustic as some of the album track offerings the BiSH has served up on the video screen, and I really like it! If you know me, then you know that I adore the sounds of the girls taking their deep breathes before lines; we get plenty of that here with “MORE THAN LiKE”. You can find “MORE THAN LiKE” on BiSH’s “CARROTS and STiCKS” available in stores on July 3, 2019.
