New PV Alert: BiSH – HiDE the BLUE

More anime theme songs for BiSH! “HiDE the BLUE” provides the ED theme to the 2018 anime “3D Kanajo Real Girl”. This time BiSH skips the fast and furious lifestyle and trap themselves in a must but stylish study complete with floral prints, an impressive bookshelf, and mounted insects. Despite the butt spanking and hangman’s noose choreography, “HiDE the BLUE” presents BiSH at their most commercial: charged uptempo rock arrangements augmented with strings and quirky choreography. The claustrophobic setting makes a bit of sense when coupled with the socially inward, otaku subject of “3D Kanajo Real Girl”. Of course, this doesn’t help disguise the fact that “HiDE the BLUE” strikes the ear as vaguely familiar. The string/guitar/snare rolls intro definitely should call some BiSH songs of the near past into mind. If you can get past that, then the song is a bit of fun with some nice reverb guitar noise thrown into the bridge for interesting texture. You can purchase the fourth major single by BiSH on June 20, 2018.
