I’ve always loved music/rhythm games with DDR being my preferred choice, but over time I have found myself not paying as much attention to the newest content that was coming out of asia (IIDX,Pop’n Music,DDR,PIU etc). Back in the day I use to lurk through benamistyle,DDRfreak, browsing the forums and indulging on whatever news and gossip was being discuss at the time. One game series that I always heard about, but never really spent much time on was the DJ Max series. It was developed in Korea so the music genre is very similar to PIU which is a huge plus for me since I have always preferred the music from PIU over DDR, and now that there is going to be a release of the game over state side with only limited quantities available…. the collector side of me is slowly coming out again.
There is only going to be 6000 copies being made for the state side DJ max game for the PSP. 5000 copies are going to be the regular UMD version, while the last 1000 copies are going to be the limited edition version. Guess which one I bought. that 1000 number really hits a cord with me, it isn’t some gimmick limited edition where they produce 300,000 copies of it and throw the limited edition sticker on the box. 1000 is a legit number to consider limited edition. Coupled with the fact that there is going to be a Raffle for those who purchase the limited edition….
