This week’s lone featured release comes from Terashima Yufu.

Terashima Yufu – “Neko ni Naritai

It does kinda feel like I’m stiffing you guys, what with me taking last week off due to illness and there being only one featured release this week. Oh well, you’ll get over it. Anyway, Terashima Yufu has her new single coming out this week and I’m pretty bias towards Yufu so obviously I like it a lot. “Neko ni Naritai” isn’t a song a lot of you would expect me to like but this is actually the kind of slower tempo song that works for me. Yufu’s voice has a different dimension to it compared to most, and she doesn’t sound like she’s bored out of her mind like most idols singing stuff like this do. Couple that with an interesting instrumental that doesn’t sound like a funeral march, and you’re onto a winner with me. So yeah, awesome single, much love to Yufu, check it out, etc, etc. /shill

“Himawari Bambina” by DiNity
Gakuen Jigoku” by FYT
Star Shine Story” by GEM
“HR” by HR
“Triangle” by Party Rockets
Utsukushi Kodoku Tachi” by Predia
“Good Bye Shakkin Tengoku” by The Margarines

I don’t really have any other strong recommendations this week. Maybe check out the albums from HR and Party Rockets if you’ve never given either of those groups a shot before. Oh and pick up The Margarines’ debut single because lord knows they need the money to pay off all of that debt.

If you missed any of the last few weeks’ worth of new music you can check out past editions of This Week in Music here.
