This week in music 07.09.2014

This week’s featured release comes from Nogizaka46.

Nogizaka46 – “Natsu no Free & Easy

natsufree&easycover

Only one featured release for you guys this week. Partly because I’m writing this while trying to get my shit together for my trip to London to see Babymetal. Okay, so Nogizaka46 have a new single and it has a pretty unfortunate title if your mind lives in the gutter like mine does. I really like the song, despite what everyone else seems to think about it (there’s no way this is one of the worst Nogizaka songs guys, come on). It’s certainly a lot better than their last single “Kidzuitara Kataomoi” at the very least. If you want a really in-depth review of the song and PV then check out the article that Quiana wrote a couple of weeks back. I agree with the majority of her analysis.

ALSO THIS WEEK:

Marine Power” by C-Zone7
Chu-Z My Music” by Chu-Z
E.G. Anthem -We Are Venus-” by E-Girls
“Tempura” by nanoCUNE
Unforgettable Days / Fly Again” by Tsubasa Fly

Besides me packing for Babymetal, a lot of the stuff coming out this week didn’t really appeal to me. Chu-Z are a fairly new group with an album out this week, so that’s pretty easy thing to suggest checking out. Apart from that, Tsubasa Fly have a pretty decent second single – that while not really doing much for me personally, seems like it would be something that a decent amount of people would like. Until next time.

If you missed any of the last few weeks’ worth of new music you can check out past editions of This Week in Music here.
