This week’s featured releases come from and Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku. – “Otsukare Summer!

The ever eccentric offer up a brand new single for our ears to pass judgement on this week. They’re even joining in on all of the summer fun with a…tasteful bikini PV? Hold on a second here, that’s not how this is supposed to work is it? Well, Dempagumi have never been known to do things by the book anyway. Joking aside, “Otsukare Summer!” is another colorful, mecha filled outing from the group that is sure to be a hit with fans. If you haven’t been won over by Dempagumi by now, it’s probably a good idea to give this one a miss.

Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku – “Natsu Daze Johnny

Speaking of eccentricity, this week also sees Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku release a new single for our listening pleasure. Like Dempagumi, this one also has somewhat of a summer theme but hold the bikinis this time (you wish). Unlike a lot of Ebichu songs, “Natsu Daze Johnny” (what is with that title by the way?) sports a more mature sound and what I just said might cause alarm for some. However it’s still a very Ebichu sounding song, something perhaps that Momoiro Clover Z could learn a thing or two from. All in all, the shrimps knock another hit out of the park and I’m disappointed that I couldn’t come up with some kind of outrageous shrimp based pun to round out this section.

Happy 7 Days” by 9nine
Youkai Taisou Dai-ni” by Dream5
Link Star” by LinkSTAR’s
Time to Change” by Palet

I have returned from real life to impart idol knowledge to the masses! Anyways, from this week’s other releases I really like the LinkSTAR’s single and not a whole lot else. It’s possible that I’d like the 9nine single but the video on their Youtube is region locked and ain’t nobody got time to look for that shit elsewhere. Get your shit together Sony Japan. Until next time.

  1. Thanks for the updates.
Though I could do without the perpetual Momoclo nagging quite nicely :-)
I for one like their singles

  2. By all means yes. When repeated too often an opinion appears more like a phobia though :)
