This week in music 04.30.2014

This week’s featured release comes from S/mileage.

S/mileage – “Mystery Night! / Eighteen Emotion

Props to S/mileage for saving what would have otherwise been a washout of a week because there ain’t much coming out folks. Anyway, we have another double a-side single here but things have taken a bit of a twist. “Mystery Night” sees the group cast off their…innocent image? I guess that’s what it is. Anyway it’s a pretty mature sounding song and the PV certainly matches it. This seems like a logical progression for the group and I expect more of it going forward (sorry S/mileage fans). “Eighteen Emotion” on the other hand is more peppy and upbeat, a slightly more familiar S/mileage for those reeling from the shock of “Mystery Night”. Overall it’s a really enjoyable release that I would encourage everyone to check out.

Realize!!” by One Little Kiss
“Mya / Recipe” by JK21

Man, I really wasn’t kidding when I said there wasn’t much coming out this week. Uhh, I guess One Little Kiss might be interesting to some of you. It’s not really my kind of music but the instrumentals are on point even if the vocals are somewhat eyeroll inducing. Other than that, that’s all I’ve got for you this week kids. See you all next week.
