This week in music 04.22.2015

This week’s featured release comes from HKT48.

HKT48 – “12 Byou

Correct me if I’m wrong, but “12 Byou” is Hakata flavored 48 group HKT48’s first single in almost 7 months correct? That’s quite a long time to be on the bench, a lot of sports injuries don’t even take that long to recover from. I don’t know what that says about HKT’s standing in the 48G hierarchy but based on this performance, maybe it should be a little bit more frequent. That or my mind is still blown over the fact that I can actually hear a good amount of individual vocals in a 48G a-side for once. Yeah, that’s probably it, I’ll go seek medical attention right away.

Re:Start” by Band Ja Naimon
Kotoba Nante Iranai” by Dela
“Etranger” by Necronomidol
“Yu” by Tochiotome25
“Note 2” by Yamaguchi Kassei Gakuen

This week has been a bit of a nightmare from a writing standpoint. I don’t know enough about some of these groups to write anything worthwhile about their releases and the stuff I would have written about doesn’t have any kind of PV available at the time of writing this (Sunday 4am BST). That being said, I’ll be checking out Band Ja Naimon’s debut album as well as the Necronomidol and Tochiotome25 singles whenever any of them become available. Until next time.

If you missed any of the last few weeks’ worth of new music you can check out past editions of This Week in Music here.
