I was pretty surprised that Nogizaka46 beat Sashihara but was more surprised at her first day sales, I expected them to reach at least 100,000.
About the Erepyon PV with her getting knocked down resembling she was kicked out of AKB thing, I never made that link when watching it but that’s an interesting way to look at it.
Thanks for the podcast!
The rivalry thing was a little hard to swallow, after I saw Nogizaka appear on Ariyoshi. Sashi is hysterical, it’s a shame she’s attracted so many antis.
In regards to the ending of the first episode of AKB0048, I don’t think it was very unrealistic. The government has declared a universal ban on any entertainment which they don’t control, and this is enforced by “DES”. I got the impression from the first episode that Nagisa and company were living in a fairly remote mining colony. However this universe is laid out it seems that DES is only capable of responding to rumors of performances. A small presence hassling people at the beginning, and the arrival of mechas shortly after the performance started. However, since AKB0048 is capable of “blitz” style shows, DES doesn’t seem to have the resources to maintain a presence everywhere. So while the end of episode one was dramatic, I don’t see the lack of a military presence at the station as an unrealistic detail.
Don’t underestimate the power of the DES forces.
Also David’s argument is invalid because Atron’s hair is a Fox Hawk.
Utada’s not blowing up because she’s too busy dancing with a dirty blonde texan.
