Zenbu Kimi no Seida work their new promotional video “Tonari kore arata”. This sixth single finds the group frolicking at a temple and about its grounds. A visit from a lonely looking youkai brings a halt to the girls’ pastimes: playing with handguns, oversized pill capsules, and tying nooses on a well’s rope. Wouldn’t you know that ZenKimi make friends with the lonely spirit and proceed to pretty it up with bows and wavy locks? The sentiment here is sweet: Zenbu Kimi no Seida bring out the cute qualities for even the most wretched of friends, and we’re not talking exclusively about the youkai among you. Of course, you can only pretty the supernatural so much, and our friend runs into trouble at the cemetery (the resolution of which I’ll for you to watch). “Tonari kore arata” hews close to the Codomomental formula of square synths and uptempo rock with a taste for offbeat accents. The song plays more on the pop-oriented side of the group’s discography, and this might make the difference for a few of you out there. “Tonari kore arata”, the sixth single from Zenbu Kimi no Seida, is available in stores now.
