New PV Alert: Yurumerumo! – Dahlia

Yurumerumo! Continue to add promotional videos for their recently released “NEVER GIVE UP DRUNK MONKEY EP” with a bloody, bone-chomping affair. “Dahlia” serves up great indie pop sounds that put the song on the top of my playlist, but the PV is another master work altogether. The girls, paled and bruised play zombie versions of themselves watching their less moribund selves on video. Longing in the way that zombies long, the girls look for the dahlia seeds of their home videos as a way to reclaim their lives. As Yurumerumo! Go from one post-zombie catastrophe set to another, you might get the feeling that things will eventually turn themselves around, and like my favorite pieces of fiction … it just gets complicated. In my book, Yurumerumo! has been doing things all right, and this looks like another classic in my book. You can find “Dahlia” on Yurumerumo!’s “NEVER GIVE UP DRUNK MONKEYS EP” on sale now.

We, You’ll Melt More, more!” The group’s name is a play on words between the name of the idol unit and the verb “yurumeru” meaning “loosen” in Japanese.
