New PV Alert: Yumemiru Adolescence – Melon soda

Melon soda, that uniquely Asian flavored soda factors big in the latest promotional video and single from Yumemiru Adolescence. Aptly titled “Melon soda”, the seven-piece group showcase the charms of their youngest member, Yamashita Saya. We find the young girl yelling into the sea and crossing paths with the boy. “Melon soda” is a summer paced love story that will never really get resolved as per the rules. The YumeAdo get dresses resembling glasses of the green soda with a complimentary red straw poking through the top. “Melon soda” gives the girls a lively guitar driven pop number that’s easy to hum. Well-traveled arranger Eguchi Ryo (you should look at his list of works) makes sure the instruments keep clear of the melody while providing a solid pulse. Of course “Melon soda” rests on the shoulders of the youngest member of Yumemiru Adolescence; will you find her performance captivating enough to lure you further into the group? Carrying this longtime group on your back seems like a tall order for a sixteen year-old idol, but after seeing the proof I thinks Saya is up to the task. Yumemiru Adolescence’s 12th single, “Melon soda” makes its way to record stores on July 25, 2018.
