New PV Alert: WHY@DOLL – Sweet Vinegar

The duo WHY@DOLL release the promotional video for their new single “Sweet Vinegar”, and we all get a taste of the sweet and sour riverside. This latest WHY@DOLL single features songwriting and composition from atagi from Awesome City Club, and the song delivers the elegant grooves one expects given the song’s origin. “Sweet Vinegar” plays up and down the Eastern scales in its melody giving the song a distinctive sound to Western ears. The duo cross bridges and dance at the shore of Tokyo Bay with the Rainbow Bridge serving as a point of reference. The PV reaches its climax as a handheld camera encircles Chiharu and Haruna and gives a dizzying viewpoint of the choreography. “Sweet Vinegar” allows the watcher to focus on the girls proper with plenty of wind-swept close-up shots to accent the harmonized lines of the chorus. You can get your own copy of “Sweet Vinegar” when it flows into stores on June 26, 2018.
