New PV Alert: uijin – Setsuna Memorial

The pace is quick and the beats are insistent for uijin’s “Setsuna memorial”. The limited release single available at Tower Records puts the four girls of uijin in a dramatically lit room with demon masked instrumentalists for its promotional video. The flashing lights get some help from video distortion and intermittent onscreen lyrics, all to the effect of disorienting the viewer. When the camera starts to zoom endlessly into the members I submitted: they win. I mean, I’ve already given in to this kind of impassioned musical style with its metal and rock arrangements augmented with dizzying synth sounds and touches of vocal effects. Uijin is definitely putting out some great music for us; I just wish there was an easier way of getting my hands on single from across the sea.
