Tokyo Performance Doll get promotion started for their second album with the promotional video for the title track. A helipad rooftop dance perched high above Tokyo provides much of the visual pop for “Hey, Girls!”. Leader Takashima Nana (the one who speaks English) takes over the vocals for much of the song while still giving time for her crew of six. Other scenes scatter TPD amidst the shops and parlors of Tokyo for girly time. “Hey, Girls!” feels like a girl power anthem with a world of possibility opening up for the members. Driving rhythms and orchestral backings give the song enough strength to work with the choreography and melodies equally well. I’m in love with the blue skies and great looks from Tokyo Performance Doll. I hope you’ll fall similarly in love. “Hey, Girls!” from Tokyo Performance Doll, goes on sale November 21, 2018.
Playing catch-up after a pair of Morning Musume ’18 concerts, sorry if these are short…
