Suzuki Airi makes her next move as she attempts to become Hello! Project’s reigning (former) member soloist. “Escape” starts things off with a few line of acapella before the fat melodic line appears with its Latin influenced beats and rhythms. The groove is at a sexy pace, and Airi keeps it up with shoulderless gowns, leather outfits, and a pantsuit … that should cover just about everyone, right? “Escape” shoots Airi from some extreme angles and with and ever- zooming or panning camera. If I’ve learned anything over the years, it’s to never underestimate the power of a simple hook, and Airi’s “1 & 2 escape” lyric will probably stick with me longer than leg-baring, bare-shouldered outfit the former throws at us. “Escape” makes it to the records store shelves on September 4, 2019.
