Silent Siren take this opportunity to bring you new music from their 6th album “31313”. Starting with a quick drum roll, “Koi no esper” gets some wacky keyboard sounds before the girls break out with a “One Two San Shi!” count and introduce you to their crowd participation choreography. It’s a cheerful upbeat song that might be a little light in calories, but laden with lots of fun. I can see “Koi no esper” being a crowd favorite very soon. With an Esper theme, you probably expected a wealth of shots of the girls trying out their telepathic abilities. Well, the PV is a green screen spectacular with lots of artifacts of junk culture floating in the background. You get a funny look at Suu’s head coming apart and the girls attempting to bend spoons, but isn’t much more in terms of mentalism athletics in the PV. “Koi no esper” is a short version PV, so when the full thing hits the interwebs I’ll definitely update things over here. “Koi no esper” is the lead track from “31313”, the sixth album from Silent Siren, on sale March 13, 2019.[UPDATE 2019.03.14 full version linked. Original short version that ran with this story below]
Silent Siren (サイレントサイレン Sairento Sairen, stylized as SILENT SIREN) is a Japanese all-female band. It was formed in 2010 of amateur models for fashion magazines. In Summer 2010 Suu and Hinanchu, both models for “CUTiE” magazine at that time, met in between shots and shared their love for music. The band was formed when Hinanchu invited her friends Ainyan and Yana to meet Suu. They performed their first live in October 2011 at the AGESTOCK2011 in TOKYO DOME CITY HALL event. Four months later, in February 2012, the band debuted under the indies label Brand-New Music with the mini-album Saisai, an acronym for Silent Siren.
