SCANDAL come back with their ending theme to the the anime “Gegege no Kitarou”. “A.M.D.K.J.” is the kind of SCANDAL PV that puts the four girls in a sound stage draped with gauzy, floating curtains and lets them play until their hearts are content. This time around, guitarist MAMI gives her groupmates plenty to mull over: octave guitar leads, pop vocal choruses, a guitar solo where RINA gets to stretch her arms out over the rack toms, and a distinctly reggae interlude that makes the piccolo snare on RINA’s left make more sense. I suspect somewhere among SCANDAL’s private tapes is a full reggae version of “A.M.D.K.J.”. I’ve been eager to hear SCANDAL’s latest recordings, and man this was worth the wait. you can find “A.M.D.K.J.” on SCANDAL’s Kiss from the Darkness album, due out on March 18, 2020.
