From the first guitar strains of “Yuuyake Cement”, one gets the impression that something special is about to happen. With PLIC ROCK (formerly Parallel Japan) gracefully dancing on the beach at sunrise, something definitely feels afoot. Then the guitars come like a face-plant on a summer scorched sidewalk. To call the song a rock ballad might be going too far; it’s not particularly a slow tempo. That said, there’s definitely a sing-song lilt to the melodies that might give that impression. The girls get nice solo dances that showcases their ability far more than the beach dance shots. The PLIC ROCK CD, “Jinko Kanjo” goes on sale on July 18, 2017.
