You might be thinking about PEDRO as (perhaps) someone that needed to be voted for, but in the context of the New PV Alerts you are dead wrong. PEDRO, the solo project of BiSH’s AYUNi D, takes flight with the release of the promotional video for “Jiritsu shinkei shucchouchu”. AYUNi D straps on the bass guitar and takes lead vocal / lyricist position for this foray into legitimacy. The musical output courtesy of composer Matsukuma Kenta deals the group some creamy, driven guitars coupled with a stabbing bass line, and disco hi-hats so common in Japanese rock. I have to admit that PEDRO is a pretty convincing product. The promotional video plays like a single shot video with AYUNi D walking from one section of the spotlight illuminated warehouse to the next and making the journey from a student sitting at her desk fixing her hair, to a member of a seifuku uniformed group, until finally strapping on bass guitar with the PEDRO trio. PEDRO’s first live “happy jamjam psyco” takes place at Shinwada FEVER on September 25, 2018. I’d love to tell you how to get a copy of PEDRO’s debut mini album, but seeing as “zoozoosea” is a currently guerilla release, none of my usual retailers have it listed. Not yet, anyways.
