New PV Alert: Maneki Kecak – Kagami no Naka Kara

Maneki Kecak provide the ED theme to the 2018 anime “Gegege no Kitarou” with their latest release “Kagame no Naka Kara”. Now before you go off, “Gegege” is the Japanese onomatopoeia for the cackling sounds suitable for graveyards. This is appropriate since the anime series, based off a 1960’s property, has our hero Kitarou facing off against various malevalent youkai both domestic and foreign. You’ll also notice the spooky setting in the Manke Kecak promotinal video. A swinging spooky song, “Kagami no Naka Kara” gives the girls plenty to work with: ghoul-like choreography, spooky temple nights, and flickering lanterns. Maneki Kecak follow the spooks to their haunts to take on the dispossessed … well, that’s the plot of the PV anyways. This is probably Maneki Kecak at their most accessible, and naturally “Kagami no Naka Kara” good fun and a good listen that foils with the other A-side from this release. “Kagami no Naka Kara / Atashi no Nokori Zenbu Ageru”, the latest single from Maneki Kecak goes on sale April 18, 2018.
