From late night bike rides to late night pay phone calls, lyrical school complete their promotional video offerings for their double A-side “Tsuretetteyo / CALL ME TIGHT”. The title of the song is taken quite literally with the members transmitting their lyrics through the green handsets of a pay phone booth. Shot at night with smooth hand-held cameras, the promotional video looks crisp despite the darkness. Fogged up pay phone booths and dew dropped window panes texture the screen romantically. Meanwhile, lyrical school get together in the center of the street at the apex of a bridge. The backing tracks for “CALL ME TIGHT” put the raps over beats that sound (to my ear) more electronica than hip hop with luxurious pads on top of the synthesized grooves. Look out for “Tsuretetteyo/CALL ME TIGHT” when it hits stores on December 19, 2017.
