Are you ready for the end? Kobushi Factory will disband on March 30, 2020 with leader Hirose Ayaka attending University, Wada Sakurako exiting the entertainment industry, Nomura Minami pursuing a career as a theater actress, and Hamaura Ayano starting activities as a model and actress. Meanwhile, Inoue Rei will continue as a member of Hello! Project. All that background is needed to truly appreciate the fact that the titular flowers of youth that are blooming here are the members of Kobushi Factory. The members appear on their separate paths across Tokyo for most of the shots in “Seishun no hana (The flower of youth, 青春の花)”. Flashbacks in the girls’ minds harken back to the good times and the bad times training to become the best version of Kobushi Factory. We get a performance shot of the group on a stone stage crowned with the naked branches of trees. When their hands touch together for the last time, they are once again transformed, but only briefly into graduation white gowns (stop your crying). “Seishun no hana / Start line”, the 8th and final single from Kobushi Factory, goes on sale March 4, 2020.
