Graceful and flowing, Houkago Princess seem to float on the promotional video for their new single. “Kaguya ni negai wo” puts the girls in tiaras and short white kimono style outfits trimmed with the green bamboo from the tale of Kaguya-hime. And of course, you will see references to the story of the moon princess scattered throughout this PV. Set in a single sound stage, Houkago Princess rely on the lighting design to build the proper settings, and I’m very impressed with what the group accomplished given the limited resources. Although the music keeps the traditional sounds fitting to the song, we get a more contemporary arrangement with quickly paced-drums and a heavy bass guitar coupled electric guitar leads.
