New PV Alert: GuGu-LuLu – Kairo

Releasing their second single last month, GuGu-LuLu (or however they’re romanizing their name) finally deliver on a new promotional video for “Kairo (回路)”. Mostly shot live and on stage, the girls give us a taste of their performance acumen. Off-shot footage from backstage makes up a minority of the PV, but I’m always fascinated to see what goes on behind closed doors. The music of “Kairo” keeps the funkiness of their previous release and adds a touch of electronic with manufactured beats, most notably a backbeat that sounds like some bloke inhaling. “Kairo” is less “jump out of your seat and shake your rump” and more “put on your headphones groove to the beat”. There is something a bit sensual going on with the song, which makes it more interesting for me (and maybe for you). “Kairo” is in stores now.
