New PV Alert: GANG PARADE – Raira

GANG PARADE takes themselves higher … to Taiwan to be exact. Wearing the fuschia jackets of traditional Chinese, the GANG PARADE use the expansive courtyard of the Taipei National Theatre and Concert Hall as their stage. The setting makes for some great handheld camera pans and movement around the formations. The group take to the sights of Taiwan and visit night markets and the Mengjia Longshan Temple for good measure. On the exposition side of things, GANG PARADE seem to be searching Taipei for the WACK grandmaster, Junnosuke Watanabe. Just look at Yamamachi Miki (who also wrote the lyrics of “Raira”) peeking into the market stalls for a glimpse. Hell, GANG PARADE even photocopied a set of “Have you seen him?” flyers with JxSxKx ‘s likeness. In the end, all of this seems to vanish in the sewer, and I’m not sure what, if anything, that might signify for the relationship between Watanabe and this latest incarnation of GANG PARADE. You can find “Raira” on the latest GANG PARADE single, “GANG 2” which lands in stores on May 28, 2018.
