New PV Alert: Fullfull☆Pocket – Kung Fu Otome

With a name like “Kung Fu Otome”, one would expect some Chinese flavor to come through . The second promotional video from Fullfull☆Pocket keeps that theme alive with some martial arts inspired choreography and performance dresses and hair styling from the mainland. Fullfull☆Pocket spends most of their screen time on the rooftop under the night sky. The punches of the musical arrangement echo the punches and sweeping arm movements of the girls. “Kung Fu Otome” plays at some rock guitar sounds, but the chorus also provides some disco inflections with its jumping bass and articulate hi hats. The scenes of Fullfull☆Pocket running through the crowds, alleyways, and subway passages in slow motion are nice, but I think my favorite shots are the close-ups of the members. Well-lit from all angles, the close-ups really give you a good look at Miia, Alice, Shiori, and Hina. At this rate, I think I just better tell you all to have fun with the song; it’s called “Kung Fu Otome” after all! “Kimi to Shiru / Kung Fu Otome” goes on sale August 16, 2017.
