The third of FAKY’s dance trilogy gets a release with the tough as nails “New Age”. With writer credits that include Koda Kumi and a rhythm that slaps, you probably expect this to be my favorite of the three. You’re right. There’s some definite shades of 2NE1 here as the girls get their freak on with paint splattered neon wear and a tiled tunnel dance shot that frames the hell out of the group. I’m going to be playing this one for a long time; bet on it. You can get your own copy of “New Age” by following the links below.
Faky (フェイキー Feikī) (stylized as FAKY) is a five-person Japanese girl group that debuted in 2013 under Avex’s Rhythm Zone record label. The group` name was created by combining the two words “fantastic” and “tokyo”, and also stands for Five Ass Kicking Youngsters. The group name was originally derived from the word “fake” to challenge themselves to bring something new and real to the Japanese music scene. FAKY’s current lineup includes members Mikako (ミカコ), Taki (タキ), Akina (アキナ), Lil’ Fang (リル・ファング), and Hina (ヒナ).
