From her “enlightening trip 2019”, DAOKO presents a pair of live PVs that highlight her growth as an artist.
In “Cinderella Step”, DAOKO, backed by a substantial live band sounds, about as organic as I’ve ever seen. In fact, if you showed me these videos and told me that she started as a DJ, well I might have trouble believing you. It’s an astounding transformation, and I can’t get enough.
Not to forget the past, “Fog” puts the artist in more familiar territory as DAOKO raps through a hip hop arrangement that finds the backing musicians replicating the sounds of the studio with aplomb. If you like DAOKO’s flow, then you’d do well to start here.
