More sounds of the 50’s from Hello! Project’s Country Girls. But this time, the Girls give us their cover of “Namida no Request” from The Checkers (1984). Fluffy petticoats and satin jackets impart the feel of a 1957 sock hop. Meanwhile, artifacts of the decade like vinyl records (both the 12″ and 7″ varieties) and Unidyne microphones adorn the set. As a points of interest, Yanagawa Nanami pops into frame with her tenor saxophone to blow us away, and foreshortening camera work bring some clever miniaturization hijinks.
