New PV Alert: BAND-MAID – start over

The latest promotional video for the maid themed all-girl band starts with a ruined apartment and a distraught blonde begging you to ask the question “what the hell happened here?”. The piano strains that start “start over” signal something a bit more downturned for BAND-MAID. True to those premonitions “start over” features less of the instrumental fireworks from the band. Focused on melody, the song trades strong rhythms for guitar licks. As for the mystery of the ruined apartment, it seems the girl is half of a nasty break up that culminated in a hysteric frenzy of destruction. Being that this third single is called “start over”, things play in reverse tempting us to think that things can reverse as the song’s title suggests. “start over” shows off a different side of BAND-MAID, and perhaps will lead more fans to the group with its easy to swallow formula. You can find “start over” in record stores on July 25, 2018.
