From the METAL GALAXY album, BABYMETAL get the shoes tapping with “DA DA DANCE”. The metal onslaught gets mixed up with Eurobeat in this unlikely coupling … and it’s not bad! To be sure, this one hews closer to the idol side of the duo / trio, what? Yeah I’m not too sure anymore. I just know that I’m looking at Sayashi Riho in another BABYMETAL PV. The huge floating stage from the group’s latest live set up makes an appearance here in this live transcription of their latest tour. While this is not live audio, this does look to the eye like a live shot PV with the group’s legions playing background to the action. You’ll find “DA DA DANCE” on BABYMETAL’s METAL GALAXY at the retailers listed below.
Babymetal, stylized as BABYMETAL (ベビーメタル) are a Japanese kawaii metal band. Originally consisting of Nakamoto Suzuka (中元すず香) as “Su-metal”, Mizuno Yui (水野由結) as “Yuimetal”, and Kikuchi Moa (菊地最愛) as “Moametal”, the band was formed with the concept of a fusion of the heavy metal and Japanese idol genres. The band is produced by Kobametal from the Amuse talent agency. Their vocals are backed by heavy metal instrumentation played by the Kami Band during live performances. Initially formed in 2010 as a sub-unit of the Japanese idol group Sakura Gakuin, Babymetal became an independent act in 2013, following Nakamoto’s departure from Sakura Gakuin. Babymetal has embarked on several tours, including the Babymetal World Tour 2014 held after the release of Babymetal, with a majority of their tour dates taking place outside of Asia. With the departure of Mizuno Yui in 2018, BABYMETAL continues with the duo of Nakamoto Suzuka and Mizuno Yui.
