Scaling into the frames in shades in pink and blue, ANGERME’s latest plea for love plays on multiple dimensions. The main set is bisected with the blue ANGERME and pink ANGERME girls taking sides and turning up the appeal: at some point, Wada Ayaka’s set became (arguably) the best looking group in the Projects. As the girls are thrown through the frames, each one looks more attractive than the previous. “Uraha=Lover heavily stylizes its shots with the same basic set shot at different angles and literally framed to look unique. The bell accented intro contrasts an upbeat, melancholy-tinged melody arranged with the Hello! Project house style of electronics with the electric guitar chugging through the song. On a personal note, of the three songs on this latest single, the melody for “Uraha-Lover” agrees with me the most. Let’s see if ANGERME will play it strong on its release. “Nakenai ze … Kyoukan Sagi / Uraha=Lover / Kimi dake ja nai sa… friends (2018 Acoustic Version)” goes on sale May 9, 2018.
