Picking up where she left off in “Itsuwari no Sympathy” from earlier this year, BiSH’s AiNA THE END picks up the slinky again for her contribution to the split single “Yoruoji to Tsuki no Hime / Kienaide”. Instead of the sleek grooves of that previous release, AiNA gives to us a piano accompanied song with regretful overtones stemming from the night before. Childish melodies are sung with the characteristic intensity of BiSH’s vocal powerhouse giving them a poignancy beyond expectation. “Kienaide” finds AiNA in the corner of her bed, contemplating the parallel shadows drawn by horizontal blinds on on the opposite window. AiNA pirouettes and pointes her wake-up routine striking catlike poses shadowed on the walls. Her interpretive dance lit by the morning sun, AiNA seems to bargain for a delayed start to the new day. Both tender and powerful, “Kienaide” offers a great contrast to CENTCHiHiRO CHiTTiii’s “Yoruoji to Tsuki no Hime”. CENTCHiHiRO CHiTTiii / AiNA THE END’s “Yoruoji to Tsuki no Hime / Kienaide” goes on sale September 19, 2019.
