For those who follow video games, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is coming out this year consisting of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. They’ve been teasing on their website that “Haru(spring) has come to Kojima Productions”.
It was revealed that “Haru” was actually Koji -“haru”, as in Kojima Haruna from AKB48, and released this CM:
Since I follow gaming as well as idols, there have been a fair share of Kojima confusion and jokes in the past two years, but I never thought I’d ever see a direct crossover. Besides, it’s plain that Kojima Haruna’s been the more relevant “Kojima” in Japan for a while now, amirite? Many Japanese gamers seem to have responded to it with disappointment, having hoped for a surprise that had to do with the actual game, but for those who like AKB48 and Metal Gear, it’s a match made in heaven.
The question still remains: Does the teaser, “Haru is coming to Kojima Productions” mean more than just this commercial?
I hope so. It would certainly make me more interested in playing through this HD collection.
