First Day of AKB48 Saitama Super Arena Concert to be Streamed Live 3/23/12 18:00 Japan Time!

It has now been confirmed that the first day of AKB48’s concert at the famous Saitama Super Arena will be streamed live on the internet via AKB48’s Official Youtube Page. Various announcements have been hinted at over the course of the 3 day event so this is not something you will want to miss. The concert is set to start at 18:00 JST (5:00am EST Friday morning) and run for two hours and thirty minutes so either grab some sleep before it starts or brew yourself a really strong coffee. It’s going to be a long night.

As is somewhat of a tradition at this point; NSK will be hanging out on Google+ while the concert is being performed. If you want to join us and nerd out about idols hit the “About” link at the top of the site and add us on Google+. That way you will be able to see when the hangout begins and be able to hop in before it fills up. We will also tweet out when the hangout goes live so watch for that too.

*Note that only 10 people can join the hangout. We apologize in advance if you don’t get a chance to hangout with us due to the capacity limits.

  1. This is great news, I didn’t realize this concert was happening so soon.

  2. Despite achieving their biggest dream, it’ll be the most heartbreaking moment for AKB48 and the fans when Atsuko Maeda is set to graduate on August 27th, 1 day after the concert back at the AKB48 Theater in Akihabara, where everything first begins. On that day, it’ll be her last stage performance, ending her 6 years as an undisputed ace of AKB48.

According to Minami Takahashi, Captain of AKB48 Team A, it shall be a new starting point for AKB48 from here on and she hopes that the group will keep growing with the fans.
