All Night NSK is where we discuss idol topics that we feel deserve more in-depth discussion than the time constraints of the regular show provide. If you have a topic that you would like us to discuss or wish to take part in a show please feel free to leave a comment on this post or use our contact page and put “All Night NSK” in the subject line.

I kinda hide my fandom from my girlfriend … i know i know, dont say it. Befor we came together i had my walls full of posters, (French Kiss, MoMu etc.) now there are more neutral stuff on my walls like movie posters … but …. i miss my mochi poster…snif*

Thats it, my first comment, sorry for that … but i listen to all your stuff.

  3. The only experience I’ve had with telling people that I’m an idol fan is with my brothers, which went well since we can pretty much talk about anything and because without realizing it I got into the fandom the same time another one did.
Most friends know that I’m into “Japanese stuff” and I have shown them music videos and idol stuff from shows here and there but never properly explained to them what idols are.
If I was in a relationship it would be tricky (I’m terrible at explaining things to begin with) but I think I would start from the music and work my way from there, trying to explain in small doses at a time.

    • I’m wondering how one would explain the fandom and the concept of oshimen without coming off as weird. I guess it depends on how open-minded our significant others are going to be.

  4. Garry, please continue to use Scottish slang in future podcast recordings =D
